'Tis the season!

Don’t be a Grinch!

My One is Demetrius at Fed Ex in Albuquerque. One for the Holidays is taking the time to say to a person that I appreciate you and what you have done for me all year.

Demetrius ALWAYS does his job perfectly. But he is happy, upbeat, and fun. He is pleasant. I took in a container of bizochitos for Demetrius to share with his fellow workers. I also took the time to write his manager about what a fine employee he is.

One is paying it forward or getting good karma. I need a lot of good karma. We all need good karma and at this time of year we need to note the people who are good. I have kicked butt a lot on terrible people and I have to remember to take time to say, thank-you.

The holidays are Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Kwanza, and Hanukkah. Every religion praises good people. Find some down time and use it wisely.

Holiday Happenings

Jacques Penne Pop-Up Shop

One of the best ideas I heard this holiday season was the Jacques Penne pop-up store in NYC by J.C. Penney. We have made fun of them for years using Jacques Penne but now they are making fun of themselves. JC is bringing their high-end stuff to the pop-up to put things in a new light. AND they are introducing a 360-degree virtual and mobile experience so customers in other parts of the country can so the store and order. It looks elegant and my question is why you don’t this sort of mini-store in all your big stores? jacquespennejcp.com

Now we just need a Tarjé pop-up store!

Homegoods

I filled out online one of those, “You Shopped & Tell Us How We Did” from Homegoods. At the end they asked for a comment and I said that I wanted three of something as a gift but they only had two. I bought them but I would have liked another. A PERSON CALLED ME! First of all for a human to read the survey and comments is really unusual! But she said she would look if they had the item in the Cottonwood store and save me a trip. WHAT!!!!????? The item is only $3.99 but she treated it like it was hundreds of dollars.

Well Homegoods called back and found it at the Cottonwood store and it was held for me. Talk about customer service!

HO HO HO!
