More Than Sad! Acts of Terror and Kindness

We Must Do Something About All This Insanity!
Acts of Terrorism
We grieve for everyone in Florida who has had the latest shooting intrude in their lives. We have gotten very used to these acts of terrorism and that should not be.
A teacher doing an interview on TV said the absolute right thing. She said that after every event those in charge have said it is too early to talk gun control but she said do it now. We are all tired of the NRA running our lives. Schools should be a safe place and they aren’t.
Wake up politicians and the President. DO SOMETHING! And the President needs to get off his ass and go to Florida and pretend he is interested. We know he isn’t but he can then go to his estate and play golf.
How is the bump-stock legislation coming along?
Random Acts of Kindness - Saturday
Of course you can do all kinds of good works all year. But, Saturday celebrates “Random Acts of Kindness Day.”
I want to highlight a cause near and dear to my heart and how you can help. Saturday, February 17, at 11am in the Los Ranchos Village Hall on Rio Grande Blvd., we are hosting the release of the two North Valley Albuquerque books – Los Candelarias & Los Griegos and Alameda & Los Ranchos. Author Francelle Alexander will present why the Albuquerque North Valley is so special.
But that is not the end! For every North Valley book sold at the event, $1 will be donated to the Los Ranchos Free Little Libraries. Also, if people want to donated a gently used book for the FLLs, we will place those books in the containers. The FLLs have only been in operation for a few months, but already they are very popular.
Rediscover how books can bring you closer to an area’s history and help Free Little Libraries! What a deal!
