Being creative is a good thing until it is not!

Being creative and thinking outside the box are good things in my mind, but here is one good one and one bad one!
FAA Qualifications
It is reported that President Trump has nominated his old pilot from Trump’s personal plane to head the FAA. It appears that the pilot’s one qualification is that he is a pilot. That is great! He could have been a janitor or butler or something else but really? Don’t you have to have a little experience running something other than a plane to be head of the FAA?
He is on the short list of nominees – aren’t we lucky!!!!
Governor Martinez
I am not a fan of Governor Martinez especially in the months remaining when she heads up New Mexico. But when she was at the White House during the Governors’ Conference she had a very good idea. Why not use and employ retire police as hired guns in schools? You have to deal with the double-dipping problem with their retirement but they have been trained and have experience. Frankly, take it a step further and employ retired Vets too. This is so much better that arming teachers. The police and Vets actually know what they are doing!
