Come visit with a movie star! Santa Fe author featured in PBS documentary at free screening in ABQ and SF
Nasario Garcia is another treasure of New Mexico. Nasario is an award-winning author, teacher, administrator, speaker, researcher, folklorist, proud grandparent, and now subject of a documentary film on PBS. I also say Nasario is one of the nicest people on earth and his wife Jan is my kind of people.
Nasario Remembers the Rio Puerco, is a new documentary that folklorist Nasario Garcia revisits his past and shows the towns and ghost towns he knew in his youth. Things have changed in the Rio Puerco. The hour-long film will be shown on PBS Thursday, October 12 at 7pm – KNME TV -5. BUT you can see it with Nasario FREE on October 4, 7pm at the South Broadway Cultural Center in Albuquerque or October 5, 6pm at the NM History Museum in Santa Fe.
Visit www.nasarioremembers.com for more information. If you go, you can say you met a TV star!
