Sad news in the book world and the explosion of horrible political ads.
A Bunch of Stuff
I am sad to report the founder of Little Free Libraries died last week. Todd Bol built the first Little Free Library as a tribute to his mother and now they are in every state and all over the world. The New Mexico Book Co-op has two Little Free Libraries in Los Ranchos. That is where a lot of the books entered in the NM & AZ Book Awards are donated. We want people to read like Todd Bol.
Political Ads
What I don’t understand is all these political ads that say people running for office have broken the law – why aren’t they arrested, indicted, or something? I don’t believe a thing in any party’s political ads. This is the kind of person – in all parties – we get to vote for!And another thing…. No politician can say they will end crime, fix education, build a wall. It isn’t a one person solution. They should say they will work with everyone to do what they promised. They are not God – though they probably think they are!
AND…
Spanish Market has a “new” Director – David Rasch. I don’t know what the problem is. Spanish Market goes through directors like water. The last Director had no clue about New Mexico, Hispanic arts, or marketing. David knows some things and hopefully he knows all about it. It is not that hard!Barbe Awalt
