Tweets, NFL, White House, & Other Nonsense

Let's Spend More Time Really Making a Difference and Less Time Calling People SOBs

The big news was the NFL players and fans responding to Donald Trump’s tweets on kneeling, when the Pledge and Star Spangled Banner is done at football games.

The kneeling started last year and now has become a big thing including concerts. I have no problem if someone wants to kneel, bow, sit, or some other SILENT activity. It is their right of freedom of speech and no one, not even the President, can take that away. Though he thinks he can. You have to remember, the players aren’t protesting the flag, the anthem, the pledge, our country, the military, but an attitude and they have a point.

By the Donald’s tweets calling names he has escalated the problem that probably would have eventually gone away. Now the players, coaches, owners and fans are saying silently, don’t call names and don’t tweet about individuals not respecting the country and flag. If they didn’t care they wouldn’t kneel.

The Donald also said a basketball team can’t come to the White House now. The Donald has called out Stephan Curry. The team said we stand behind Stephan and the Donald is out of line. The quick Washington DC Mayor said we want you instead, even if the Donald doesn’t. So, the Donald has angered two major sports. Maybe the Donald needs to go to an NFL game?

You have to consider this; the President of the United States is taking time to call players in two sports names and not running the country. He is not seeing hurricane victims in Puerto Rico, not dealing with the economy, not dealing with tax problems, not dealing with health care except to call names. In fact, he doesn’t do much of anything except tweet and call names and that is the problem. But he does have time to do re-election rallies – really? Things have not changed since January. As the Donald says, SAD!
