Gift ideas for the last week before Christmas
Jury Duty VIII & Ideas
No jury duty Monday but I feel like I will be called for Tuesday. Though I am not the kind of jurist anyone wants on their trial!
So the last week before Christmas, I have some ideas to make shopping fast and easy. And of course, made you look good!
- BOOKS! – They work for anyone – even kids so small they can’t read (someone can read to them!) All you have to do is go in a bookstore like Treasure House or Bookworks and if the clerks are not too busy, hand them your list. All you need is age for kids and maybe a like or for older kids and adults, what they are into. They can find a book for everyone. Trust me! Throw them in a holiday bag and DONE!
- BISCOCHITOS! – LOCAL official New Mexico cookies are available at Smith’s, Walmart (believe it!) or Celine’s in the North Valley strip mall on 4th Street and Osuna. Easy! Give some to the Letter Carrier too! Be careful of the California ones at Costco.
- SALSA! – Go to any grocery store (even Walmart) in the New Mexico, Hispanic, or local section you can get as many as you need. Fill a box with all different kinds. Just make sure it is Made in New Mexico!
For the truly gift challenged:
Go to Walmart and get an Ugly Christmas Sweater. Don’t know the size? The bigger and uglier the better! You can get ugly socks, hat, or tights with that too!
For the truly clueless get gift cards – but put a little thought into it. Like Steelbender Brew Pub in the North Valley for food and drink. Give cards to any bookstore if you are not sure. Gift cards to a LOCAL candy company for a Valentine treat for themselves. A gift card for LOCAL jewelry. Any LOCAL eateries have gift cards for someone to eat, drink, and be merry! Maybe they will invite you?
Have fun with your gifts and I bet you can do your shopping in pj’s and at home!
