Jury Duty XI & Ugly Christmas Sweater Day!
No jury duty on Thursday and I doubt if there will be any activity for days with the holidays.
Friday is National Ugly Sweater Day. Yes, it is a thing. I LOVE Ugly Christmas Sweaters. You only wear them once a year and they can be as bad as you like.
The popularity of Ugly Christmas Sweaters has given rise to hats, gloves, t-shirts, pj’s, socks, tights, jewelry, dresses, and full suits. Of course there are parties to celebrate the sweaters.
My suggestion, go to Walmart the day after Christmas and buy what you need. They had a great selection this year of sweaters, kid’s stuff, pj’s, tights, dresses, headbands, AND A COUPLE DESIGNS OF FULL SUITS!
Get them at half-price for next year or for gifts. Remember if you don’t know a size, get BIG! I have seen at least one book, napkins, invitations, and awards – go on ebay.
My favorite Ugly Sweater is in fact, the ugliest hat I have ever seen. I fell in love with it at Kohl’s and wear for the NMBook Co-op Holiday Party. It is wonderful.
Trend for this year: I saw a double “twin” sweater for you and your boyfriend/girl friend at Walmart. And this year Jewish themed sweaters are also hot.
Tipsyelves was the first company to really run with the Ugly idea. They were on Shark Tank. They already have stuff on sale on the Tipsyelves.com website.
