Nation Crab Meat Day~!!!!

OMG — It's crab meat day! This is special — you gotta get some!
Yea! Crab Meat! It was March 9, but we can celebrate all weekend.
As a Baltimoron, I love crab meat. Put it in crab cakes of course, but it goes well on gazpacho, finger foods, pasta, in corn puddings, soups, and much more.
I came late to the crab party. Growing up, I thought crabs were disgusting. I missed out on a lot of crab feasts. When I taught for Howard County in Maryland, HCEA (the teachers’ union) had a crab feast every fall. You ate crabs but had a chance to visit with friends. It was fun!
When I go back to Maryland now I have my favorite crab places: Friendly Farms for crab cakes, my brother’s for just crabs, and frankly any place else in Maryland for good crabs. When we beached each summer, we had crabs in Rehoboth, Delaware.
If you have a taste for crabs, get Phillips in the freezer section of your store. Get their tubs of crab meat to add to anything or their crab cakes. YUM!
