The world is going crazy!

We are so screwed… and other crazy things!
$163M Due – Are You Kidding?
It seems New Mexico was giving illegal food stamp benefits for at least two years to the tune of $163+M. The Feds want their money back NOW! Do you know how that would kill a state’s budget?
The other question that has to be asked, did the Feds say something was wrong in that time to warn the state? Or did New Mexico have any checks on the people they were giving foods stamps to like were they dead or no longer eligible? Surprise! You owe $163+M and pay immediately.
New Mexico was operating like they had tons of money for the next legislative session in January. SURPRISE!
We Are So Screwed!
I watched the hearings. Both witnesses were believable but I agree with what many said. Have we come to this? These are hearings for the Supreme Court and they are ugly, partisan, and a new low. I hope no one in Congress is proud of them because we can do better.
Because of what we have seen, no one in their right mind is going to put themselves through this. No one is going to want to run. Accusations from high school or college will come up. False accusations will be made and nothing is sacred.
The best and the brightest know not to do this kind of nonsense. This is sad for everyone involved. In November let’s vote all the clowns out and begin to start over. We can do it again in 2020.
FALL!!!!!!
I love fall. It is a time that the temperature gets to be more human. I hate feeling HOT! It is a time where we get into the Balloon Fiesta excitement. The trees turn color and I love it. And I get teasers for the holidays.
We start taking care of those chores and jobs that need to be done: oil change, firewood, new glasses, dentist, close pool, close swamps, doctor’s appointment, flu shot, put away the summer clothes and get the heavier clothes out, Halloween decorations, candy, and start to think about Christmas presents! We also buy the fruits of the growing season - pumpkins, chile, apples, fall vegetables, and start baking. People with kids have football games, conferences, school events, and so much more. It is so busy!
What I don’t like about fall is buying cider in what was a gallon last year but this year is 89 oz. for the same price. Rip-off! Of course the price for everything is going up for celebrating the holidays!
